Meet Our Doctors

​​​​​Dr. Mona Patel grew up right here in the Central Florida area where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Central Florida in 1996. She later went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from Salus University in 2001 (formerly Pennsylvania College of Optometry). After graduating, Dr. Patel worked in Philadelphia for four years, until the cold weather and family brought her back to her hometown in beautiful Central Florida. She has worked in multiple settings since, and ultimately joined Bayhead Eye Centre in 2016 as an Associate Doctor. In January 2022, Dr. Patel took over the practice from Dr. Peterson and became the proud owner of Bayhead Eye Centre.

Dr. Patel is trained in pediatric eye exams, fitting contact lenses, diagnosing and treating sight threatening ocular disease, ocular emergencies, and co-managing post surgical procedures such as cataract, glaucoma, and lasik. She sees a variety of patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. She is a member of Optometry Divas and The Eye Physicians of Central Florida.

In her free time, Dr. Patel can be found at her teenagers’ sporting events, or enjoying quality time with friends and family.

​​​​​Dr. Millien was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Fl, and she's delighted to serve here in Seminole county. Dr. Millien is a residency trained Optometric Physician. She obtained her optometry degree at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 2023. Her residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease was completed in Denham Springs, Louisiana. Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Millien is able to provide exceptional care to a wide variety of patients. She can see patients of all ages, as well as contact lens exams, and manage ocular diseases such as Dry Eyes, Diabetes, Glaucoma and Macular Degeneration. She can also provide care for the comanagement of cataract and refractive surgeries. 
 
Dr. Millien is a member of the American Optometric Association and Florida Optometric Association. In her free time, Dr. Millien enjoys spending time with her friends and family, reading books, cooking and playing with her Labradoodle puppy Hershey. She also likes to volunteer and give back to the community, as demonstrated in her various medical and church mission trips.

​​​​​Dr. Ingrid Peterson has over 45 years of experience in the fields of contact lenses, children’s vision and ocular disease. She attended the University of Florida as an undergraduate and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston. The practice that Dr. Peterson founded is based on providing the most advanced, comprehensive ophthalmic examination for patients of all ages. She and the entire staff of Bayhead Eye Centre volunteer each month for the Shepherd’s Hope Foundation, Lion’s Club and Safehouse of Seminole County by supplying free eye examinations and spectacles.

When not seeing patients, Dr. Peterson enjoys fishing and gardening with her grandchildren.
